About the Event
This workshop is held through Mindfulness Works Australia. It is different to the mindful masterclasses as it only runs for 60 minutes, but you still get the essence of the teachings.
"Holding onto anger is like drinking something poisonous and expecting the other person to die".
We don't drink poison because we know it will harm our body, but did you know that holding on to anger and resentment is just as poisonous? Feeling angry or frustrated over something is a normal human reaction, even the Dalai Lama talks about times that he gets angry and snaps at his monks
The secret to being in control of your emotions and taming an angry mind is to understand what triggered the feelings of anger and then knowing the antidotes to apply.
Your mindfulness teacher Nat knows this all too well, growing up in her European family; escalating to anger, followed by tears and storming out of the room, was as common in her family as the sun rising and setting each day.
Taming the Angry Mind isn't just a workshop about how to calm your own anger, it's also powerful for those who want to  understand why another person is demonstrating anger, so that you can mend and heal your relationshps.
In this 60 minute workshop you're going to walk away with:
- An understanding of how anger works as a human emotion from an East meets West perspective - a mix of Buddhism and neuroscience
- Techniques to tame your angry mind and see the world with more patience and compassion
- A guided meditation to gently connect you with your anger and release it
- A workbook to help you work through everything you've heard in this masterclass, including a toolkit to help you diffuse your anger.
